Scoping an AR10.

Currently have a Nikon 3x on it and while this works well in brush and most hunting out to 200 yards especially snap shooting, I would like to stretch that out a little. Thinking of a fixed 10x for bench and longer range hunting but would like to be able to swap the scope for "mission adaptable" needs.

What QD bases with good return to zero to you all have good luck with?

I've been using American Defense 2" offset bases for my AR optics. They re-mount nicely with good repeatable results.

Like the Burris Zee rings, may be an effort to remove and replace, but they're dirt simple and will return to "0". Price is acceptable for US manufacture.

The Burris AR PEPR mounts work great.

ALSO they have a $20 rebate on them right now. I got mine from a retailer that had and still has them for $60. So $40 after a rebate....don't mind if I do.

I have mine waiting in a box for my AR10 build to get to that stage. I don't have a scope OR the upper yet but at that price I couldn't skip it.

I use both ADM and LaRue mounts on my ARs. I have found that I prefer the design & mechanism of the ADM mounts over the LaRue.

After about 2,000 rounds, my LaRue ACOG mount loosened up,with the subsequent accuracy problems. Once that happened, I was up the creek b/c I didn't have the adjustment wrench with me at the time. It would appear that under repeated recoil (5.56NATO), that the tension adjustment nut had backed off.

Looking at the side-clamping design of the ADM with its captured nuts, this situation simply cannot happen. If for some reason it did occur, it would be fixable in the field using your bare hands.

Dillo Dust, free hats and bottle openers are cool, but the last few times I've had to buy QD stuff, it has been from ADM.
