I've been toying with the idea of buying a conversion to shoot .22LR in my AR15.
But I have a question.
The rate of twist in my AR is 1:9.
The rate of twist in my Marlin .22s is 1:19.
The marlins are fine shooters, and can make nice tight little groups, so I'm thinking the slow twist is good for .22LR
How are those same bullets going to act when fired through a 1:9 twist barrel?
If all the rate of twist hype I read concerning AR15s is true, then the huge difference in those barrels should make the AR pretty lousy for accuracy with .22lr.
What about it guys? How does your AR shoot with .22LR?
