Im looking at an bushmaster ar15 post ban a2
20in hbar fixed stock that was made in windham
are these a good rifle ? its in as new condition
I have always liked the a2 full sized rifles
thanks

I've got one and she is a sweet rifle. After the ban ended,I sent the barrel off to Adco and had it threaded for a flash suppressor.Wouldn't change anything else about her.

I assume "post ban" means it was made in the nineties when the ban was in effect? If so, Bushmaster was still decent then. If, however, it is a new production rifle, you can get better quality for the same money elsewhere. Bushmaster has had issues with QC lately.

I just my sold my upper about 1 month ago. I was the A2 20" HB match upper. It was very well made. The only draw back is some guys don't like the un-shrouded bolt carrier. I never saw a problem with that.

was it expensive to have the barrel threaded

I've had a bunch of barrels threaded for cans and it generally runs around $70. My guy also gives me a thread protector for when the can isn't on the gun. With the protector on you can't even tell that I had it threaded, it blends perfectly with the barrel.

I have a Windham made Bushmaster, Its accuracy is unbelievable I wouldn't trade it for anything. It has never jammed or FTF or FTE, They can say what they want but those older Bushmasters are awesome rifles.
