The Troy rear sits REALLY low:

And it's built like a tank.

I've been a member at arfcom for about a year and a half now. I post there pretty regularly and go there daily. I was going to pay my team ar15.com dues but I can't see paying any money just to have a cool avatar! I am a member on many forums and arfcom is the only one that demands money for full participation. I love the site, though. Maybe this new upgrade will help it run more quickly and load better. Maybe.

You guys ought to check chat.ar15.com....that's where most of the updates go. IIRC the biggest problem was in getting all the DB stuff moved over to the new setup, which was finishing up yesterday. GB Was on chat last night with an update, and reports from the testing show that it's a lot faster.

It's killing me, cause I'm finally getting all the parts in to do some major mods on my AR, and now I have no access to the advice/instructions I need!

Um....this one loses me. If you donate you get email, photo hosting, search, avatar, and access to the Team forum. What other sites give you all of those options, regardless of pay? I mean, you can do all the regular forum stuff, like opening an account, reading, and posting. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to blast you for the comment, nor am I trying to shill for AR15.com....but on all the forums I'm on, I don't see any of them offering that. Heck, it reminds me why I stopped reading the [H]ardForums....they had problems with GD (General Discussion) and Searching, so they just got rid of them. Completely. I'd pay $20 a year for being able to search there.

444,

I have a #40 behind a TA101NSN and am replacing it with a Troy, the 40 will go over to my 870...behind the Eotech. :)

whoami has a good point about contributing, if you get something from it then I believe it important to give back. It only helps keep the knowledge flowing.

Well, ARFCOM is back up... don't worry, it's still slow as CRAP!! I was worried that they'd actually have their act together. It sure is pretty now, though...

As added irony, the first banner ad I saw was for a web-hosting service. I would NOT want my web hosting service to be associated with ARFCOM. :D

Down again now. Got one post in before it took a dump. No speed whatsoever yet and many of the servers are not working.

One of the Cisco routers decided to take a ???? shortly after they put it up, and it caused a problem. Then again, if just about any site had their hardware go tits up, it'd cause problems.

For those of you complaining about speed, I'm curious...dial up or broadband? Just wondering.....checked last night at home (cable modem) and this morning at work (direct feed), and it was extremely fast. Most threads opened within two to three seconds....
