Right idea, wrong combination.
The GG&G sight is designed to mount on a railed forearm.
If you mount that particular sight on a gas block it will probably be too short.
Brownells;
http://www.brownells.com
offers three sight choices that combine the folding front sight with the gas block proper.
These are the most modern and durable combinations going right now.
714-000-003 is the Precision Reflex Incorporated @ $165.00
100-002-237 is the Yankee Hill, another good choice and moderately priced @ $89.00
100-003-221 is the VLTOR, popular choice for a lot of shooters and priced @ about $225.00
You can look them up by typing the stock numbers in the search engine on their website. HTH

strongly recommend you do NOT use the DPMS gas block,

that flip front site says in the description it's set up to be the correct height on the forearm, which means you wouldn't attach it to the gas block, but to your quad-rail

description says it's made of aluminum. it will expand at a different rate than the steel barrel when you warm it up.

there are PLENTY of quality steel gas blocks on the market. why screw yourself for no good reason?

Because the interface will be too short to properly regulate with the rear sight..
Instead of hitting the target you will be throwing bullets over the top of the target with that combination.
