AR15 Style 30-06?

With the tremendous price increase of 223 ammo it is now waaay higher than 30-06, especially the surplus ammo. I was wondering if anyone makes an AR15 style rifle in 30-06? I know at least one is manufactured in .308

A30-06 assault type rifle would be awesome with tremendous firepower.

I wouldn't call it an assault rifle by any stretch of the imagination. It makes some of the DMPS .308 rifles look small.

Saiga makes (or made...not sure which) a .30-06 that is an AK-47 variant called the Saiga 100. They're not to pricy either.

I'd just get a M1 Garand and be done with it. In fact, that's what I did.

There ya go, he's worried about ammo prices, so point him in the direction of a $5,000 rifle.


BTW, that rifle looks awesome...But if I had 5 grand to blow on a rifle, it be the .50 bmg variety.
