ar180b magazine problems

i hope this is the right forum. i have an ar180b. the factory 10 rd. mag works fine. i have two 20 rd, and two 30 round aftermarket mags that sometimes feed the last round and sometimes they won't. i'm using umc 55 gr. fmj and winchester q3131a fmj. the make on two of the mags is adventureline w/green followers. the others have black followers with no name visible. should i change mag springs? if so, where would i find them? this is driving me nuts. :banghead: thanks, craig

Before you swap springs (springs are rarely the problem), check to be sure the magazine catch notches of the mags are the same and that they all sit up far enough in the mag well. The AR-180B is supposed to take AR-15/M16 magazines, but there are some after-market mags that don't work well in the AR-15 either. Can you find some GI mags? If they don't work, then I would check the mag catch itself.

If the gun is new, you can contact Armalite and see what they say before spending money.

okay, thanks. a guy i know might have a g.i. mag i can try. an email to armalite never occurred to me. brain fade strikes again.
