I finally got all the parts I needed together for my AR57 (5.7x28) and got it to the range today.
Have to say my instincts were right; it's a fun AR15 form-factor pistol, very low recoil, reliable, lightweight, suppressor-friendly and accurate. This one's a 6" threaded barrel. The threading is more than a typical .22 can likes to see (0.4") so I added a spacer nut to fix that. Also had my Huntertown Arms Guardian 22 upgraded to the Kestrel core so it's safe to fire semi-auto 5.7x28. The P-Mag has been gutted to serve as a brass collector since that's where the AR57 upper dumps it.
I can't really say how quiet it is since Friday afternoons are a zoo at the indoor range I shoot at, but through the hearing protection, I'm going with very quiet.
Figured I'd share a few pics.
