From my blog....
Want the best example of the total moral bankruptcy of the mainstream media and popular culture in general? You need look no farther than their commmentaries on the recent death of a "freedom fighter" and "leader of his people" whose very raison d'etre was to kill Jews and extend Palestine all the way across what the rest of the world knows as Israel. Note that in all his years as "leader" of the Palestinians he accomplished absolutely nothing except to steal billions (billions!) of dollars from them to distribute among his estranged wife in Paris and the families of those "martyrs" willing to target innocent civilians with suicide bombs. Not that the Palestinians are blameless either. They put up with it. They lived for decades under a man so autocratic that he would not even allow a successor to be named! (Who, by the way, turned down ofr failed to abide by many US-brokered peace plans.) Now they call on the United States to support their efforts to hold free and open elections within 60 days, in which the most popular candidate sits in an Israeli prison, having been convicted of terrorism. Anyone hear them call on their friends in Jordan, Iran, Syria, or Egypt for help? Didn't think so.
Anyone hear any of this in the mainstream popularity-based media? Didn't think so.
