I cleaned up one that a friend bought (full size, single action on my recommendation) and put 200 rounds of ball through it with no failures. I didn't try any HPs myself but he said it fed some HPs fine... I'll have to ask which ones worked for him next time I see him. And I've handled a few others... all looked similarly well finished - which is very decent for the price, but not outstanding.
As far as comfort, they look blocky... well, blockier than the actual BHP desigh, but it feels very similar which is to say, it feels like one of the two or three most comfortable handguns in the world in my opinion.
A while back they were going for $200 but I haven't seen one for less than $250 in a while now. If I found one for $200, I'd snatch it. The Charles Daly is more true to the design and I wouldn't not take a Daly, but I'd rather have the Arcus. Actually, I'd probably try to save my pennies and save my dimes and find a used FN or Browning.
