Not the case.AK's don't seem to blow up because nobody loads hot ammo for it. It's not worth the effort as there will be no major improvement in accuracy at all.

Cheaply made ammunition is arguably the primary factor limiting AK accuracy; next would be the short sight radius, the pistol-style sights, and the nutation-inducing slant brake some models are equipped with.
The AR is more accurate than an AK, but the AR is also more accurate than most lever-actions and many bolt-actions; it is one of the most accurate rifles out there. The AK doesn't look bad at all when compared to a ballistically similar Winchester Model 94 with similar sights and using comparable ammo.
