Are all Glock 20 and 21's now slim frame?

Short frame? I thought the new frame design was supposed to be thinner (ie, less circumference). Am I not understanding something?

Balrog-

SF or "Short Frame" is referring to the FRONT to BACK distance of the grip. The circumference is less, but it's because the grip is shorter from front to back, not side to side.

Yes. Unless you have the older 21SF with the Ambi mag catch, then you have to have the newer mags with the front ambi cut.

there's a limited run of short frame rtf2 glock 21's available right now too. it's a law enforcement order overrun.

I have a 21SF with ambi catch. (Works perfectly, BTW. It was a very early one.) Will Glock keep producing the magazines for the ambi or do I need to stock up?

The 35 I recently bought came with mags that had the ambi catch on it, so I assume they are producing them all like that now.

All of the newest mags I've seen still have the ambi cut on the front. I highly doubt Glock will ever discontinue the ambi cut as there are many ambi pistols in use all over the world. Don't worry about it.

OK thanks for the help.

Are G20's and G21's now being made as "fourth generation" guns?

Are there any internal differences between third and fourth generation guns, or is it just a difference in frame texture and slide serrations?

Currently, there is not official word on if there will be a Glock 20Gen4 or Glock 21Gen4.

Gen4 Glocks are internally and externally different than the 3rd generation Glocks.
Gen4 Glocks have different recoil system, a reversable magazine release system, different slide and frame (internal dimensions are different).
3rd generation Glock has the RTF frame texture and the Gen4 Glocks have the RTF3 frame texture.
