I'm finding product for rifles but not these 2 pistol calibers for reloading. The factory ammo is very expensive.

I went to the Hornady site, Reloading, handgun, bullets and filtered for FTX in 9mm. No product listed. It seems they don’t sell them as a component.

They also had a .357 and a .358 diameter. Again I don't know if they would be suitable for 9mm. The OP will have to make his own decision.

They are not available as a component, unless you might find them as a pull down from somewhere. The way they expand, they might be just a little bit tougher to load. I have asked several of the guys that work there about the availability of these. As I recall, the previous supplier of FBI duty ammo did not have that bullet available as a component either… Don’t quote me on that one, however.

Sounds like attempts at 350 and 400 legend reloading. I've only ever seen ftx for lever carbines. You might be able to use the .358 in 350. The pressure may be higher. In anything other than a tube mag anything else is a better option.

No FTX for most pistol calibers including 9 & 40. Midway lists rifle bullets. I saw .45 cal though.

I believe that is correct.

I also believe that one might be able to use some of the FTX bullets in a semi, although it may only be a single shot since they may be too long to fit in a magazine.
