Are MFS primers just that much harder?

Please see pic below. These 4 cases are all from the same gun (PX4) in the same firing series. Just got them out of the tumbler and noticed that the MFS primer strikes are much more shallow; almost look like it bounced. The other two primers are CCI Small Pistol reloads. Are the MFS primers that much harder?

9mm Factory ammo-Edit-see post #11

Hammers/firing pins do bounce. High Pressure. Machine gun ammo or +P+ . A weak hammer/firing pin spring may let the pin rebound also. MFSFactory9mmAmmo_zps276e5df3.jpg

To much primer- second peak

Too Much Primer
You can have too much primer. When the output gas volume of the primer approaches that of the cartridge case, sometimes special handling is required. I remember when CCI was working with some experimental primers for 9mm Luger, and we started seeing odd time-pressure curves on the computer. Instead of the normal single peak, we saw two. One QA tech commented that it looked like the dual humps of a Bactrian camel.

It was a classic case of high gas volume but too little temperature. The primer’s extra gas unseated the bullet while still trying to light off the main charge, producing one peak. Then the bullet retarded as it engaged the rifling, creating the second peak. Although a shooter would never notice this in a production firearm, that double hump was worrisome, and we abandoned that mix.
The 700X is a double base powder containing Nitroglycerine. Light loads below starting load can also cause problems.
In addition, certain smokeless powders with a high-nitroglycerine concentration can be induced to detonate.

No problems with either.

The MFS is Eastern block mil-spec ammo with hard primers.

Your handloads aren't.

Fogadaboutit!!
Nothing to see there.

Weird. Yesterday my picture, as seen in the original post, was 180 degrees rotated from this. Today, it's "upside down" to me too! Anyway, the cases marked MFS are commercial. The cases marked R&P or FC are handloads!
