Are Ruger Pistols Underrated?

Have a p-90 and it has been the most reliable accurate centerfire auto loader that i have ever owned. That includes springfield and colt 1911's and s&w 645 and 4506.

Plan on picking up a p89 soon just to have a high cap 9mm around and also have another pistol to share the same leather as the p90.

As far as politics, I would rather live in the here and now. Bill Ruger is deceased. The Ruger family from what I understand no longer has any control over the company.

To penalize and hold the Ruger company liable for Bill Ruger's actions today would amount to the same thing as holding a son acountable for the sins of the father.

To me S&W committed a bigger sin by getting in bed with the Clinton's and their brand of gun conrol. The public made their dis-satisfaction known and buycotted S&W almost to the point of colapse. S&W in turn was sold to new owners and the sins were for the most part forgiven by the masses. Should S&W still be punished for the sins of the previous owners? If so then I guess T/C should be punished as well since Smith owns them. Or perhaps punish Walther for partnering up with S&W.

Today's Ruger Firearms Company is not under anyone's control in the Ruger family. The Ruger family from what I understand no longer control the majority of stock shares either. And even if they did, why punish the family and company for something Bill Ruger did?

To hold the Ruger company acountable today is Stalin and Hitler tactics of the past----kill an entire family or village for the sins of one person.

i have owned three ruger handguns, 2 of which i stil have, i have a 22/45 which is a great reliable accurate gun for all ages and skill levels to shoot and enjoy. and i have a ruger p345 that is that most accurate handgun that i own.

i had a ruger kp95, and it was a great pistol and all but it was to big for me, and i didn't shoot it well and i didn't feel comfortable holidinng and shooting it.

i plan to have at least 2 more ruger in the future. the gp100, a ruger mini 14 and possibly a ruger sr9 which will probally go to the wife so i can get my kahr k-40 back from the wife.

ruger's are relativly inexpensive they are of great quality and they have an outstanding customer service.

No, but then it's just my opinion. I think they are over-rated. I consider Ruger good match for revolvers but semi auto I think there are a lot more and better options, however, personal preference is the key. I have a friend who thinks he only needs to weapons, and claims they are the best: AK47 and Sig P226.

I have always heard that Ruger revolvers were very good, but of the three that I have owned, only one didn't have any problems.

The only Ruger auto that I have owned was flawless.

I do not own any Ruger handguns now after selling/trading them all.

I did look at a P90 and a P94 at the last show that I went to. They were very nice and felt very good in my hand.

I do like the P345 and SR9. I hope to get a SR9 soon.

My son has a 22/45 and a 1022. Both of these are very nice guns.

Almost all corporations support something that we don't like or agree with. But, in the case of Ruger and S&W I don't have a problem with the current owners or companies.

On another note I will never buy another new Ford Motor product as long as they continue with their current policies and ideals.

The only Ruger I didn't really like was a 'previously owned' Bearcat .22LR....It was just a tiny fractional bit too small for my ham fists, complete with sausage fingers...AKA "Fat Hands Syndrome"

I have owned Blackhawks in .357, .41, .44 and .45. My first .357 Blackhawk was one of the last of the '3-screw Old Models'. Now have a .357 Vaquero, 50th Year .357 Blackhawk, 50th Year Single Six, 40th Year 10/22 and the Wm. B. Ruger/NRA commemorative MKII. and a KP-90 .45ACP

I like the Ruger shotguns, too, but they are out of my price range.
