I've noticed that some online firearms retailers have the exact same website - just different names. They have the exact same store policies, the exact same S&H rates and they offer the same guns for basically the same price.

Southern Shooters Guns & Gear, Top Gun Daytona and Freedom Outfitters are examples. They aren't the only online stores that are identical like this, but they're an example.

I suppose they could have all purchased canned-websites from the same web provider but that doesn't explain identical store policies.

Shipping rates are set by the carrier not the retailer. Same web site layouts can come from using the same sales software. Smaller shops/retailers very like get the same wholesale prices and suggested retail price, so prices can be the same.
Might be due to this too. "A member of the National Firearms Dealer Network".

Could be a canned website or lazy web design company that copies and pastes most things.

That, and they all check out on the list of FFL's published by the ATF.

I would say it is the same web design program or something along those lines.

If you visit many forums, you'll see a lot of them that are layed out very similarly to here on THR. Same reason.

All of them are hosted by Amazon Web Services.

They are all three in different states though.

BCM and Primary Arms both use the same checkout software. Stuff like that happens.

Dallasgunsource looks the same as those three. I bought a gun from them. I paid on the phone, and picked up in person.
I found the site from a "shop guns" tab on the Colt company website.

if you check the "contact us".....youll see that each store lists a separate phone number and all have separate addresses.

now it could be that they are 3 different stores set up by the same owner........or maybe the stores are all affiliated somehow........but they do appear to be 3 different businesses.

but chances are, they all found the same website format and decided to use it....happens all the time.

True, shipping rates are set by the carrier. However some vendors don't use the shipping rates set by the carrier, they set their own rates and grab a little profit from them and then also add handling charges on top of that.
