Hello to all; got myself in a build-pickle. Acquired a BCA 24 in bull barrel in .223 Wylde in .875. Purchased the Midwest Industries Gen3 slimline 18 in guard -as it was the first commercially available guards at that length (to my knowledge at least). Goal was to run adjustable block - for the purpose of running multiple ammo loads.
Long story short it looks as though Im out of luck as far as adjustable blocks go-as my guards ID is 1.30 ". Even std blocks are few and far with that od.
Here's my [very likely stupid] question: Would it be feasible to turn down the barrel to .750 at the gas journal, or am I eventually relegated to a new guard or new .750 barrel?
Thanks in advance, I respect this site's viewpoints (enough to finally come out the shadows lol).
