I'm just asking because i don't see many reports in the performance of how they are working and there reliability and accuracy.

Have any of you see any good reviews?

Thanks Brad

I have two. Both two of the most accurate rifles I've ever owned. I've owned dozens of different rifles for comparison.

I have one in .338WM. Its by far one of my favorites. I had a .308 but recently traded it, but now I want another:banghead:.
They are my favorites right behind my Mark V. Lately A-Bolts are on sale alot and those too are great rifles.
Nothing needed to be changed on the X or A IMO. good balance, ergonomics and accuracy. Plus a nice low/short bolt lift.

Own 2 X-bolts (243 Hunter and 30-06 Gold Medallion) cant go wrong with these rifles in my opinion. I also have 2 A-Bolts and cant find anything bad to say about them either.

I've got one.

Great fit and finish. Accuracy is acceptable, but I haven't run too many different loads through it yet.

The barrel heats up real fast on the fluted sporter contour so it may be my lack of patience throwing off the groups (needs time to cool between shots). I'd be real curious to shoot one of the varmint contour barrels.

Trigger is great too.

Not many gripes, one of them is the bolt handle is a bit tight on the lift, I'm guessing as a consequence of the shorter bolt lift. I've also noticed that when you pull the bolt back to eject a round, you have to make sure to pull it to the fully rearward position or it wont catch the next round on the forward stroke. Sometimes when I would operate the bolt too fast, I would eject a round but not load the next because of this.

Have one in .308 win. I had to put a muzzle brake on it cause x-bolts are so light. It is awesome though, 3/4" groups with factory hornady superformance ammo. Love it.

I have one and its a great shooter. Right out of the box shot 5/8" 5 shot groups!!!! For an 06 thats not bad at all. Nothing to change or tune these rifles are great right out of the box. FRJ

I have not shot one yet, but the fit and finnish is premo :) I hope to have a new stainless stalker by next hunting season.

awful expensive for a japanese gun. you can get a stainless vanguard for half that, which would very likely shoot just as well.
If I am dropping 800 I am doing it on a US made model 70. Personal opinion, I don't mean to imply that is what anyone else should do. You might prefer the styling or wood of the X-bolt.

I've got two...both Hunter models...30-06 and .243. Both are more accurate than the shooter. Wife bought me the .243 for Christmas...here's a pic of the first five shots down the barrel @ 100 yards with 100 gr. Federal Power-Shok ...first shot is the one on the left...
