I am down to my last few tins of my Remington 10 percussion caps. With the whole Remington restructuring, did they resume making their percussion caps? Does anyone know a place where I could at least put myself on a backorder list? I have Googled everywhere and had no luck.

Not sure if they’re making them or not, but within the past few months Cabelas online and a couple other places were selling them for $13/100. I assume they are recently made but they may have been NOS. Not sure. Yes I bought some and no I’m not happy about the price. But I was down to my last few number 10s.

By the way I’m sure you’re aware but 99% of the google results you get are scam websites trying to cash in on the shortage.

Yes! I saw a page worth of scammer sites trying to "sell" them for half the price I have seen them, that's ridiculous. I can only see a tin or two on GB, I am not paying $20 for 100 caps. Any legitimate site suggestions would be welcome.

Unfortunately you’re in the same boat as a lot of us. Check scheels and bass pro and Cabelas and powder valley and track of the wolf and Dixie gun works and buffalo arms and midwayUSA. Sign up for in stock notices. Call your local gun shops. I’ve seen CCI caps come in and out of stock over the past year. The CCI 11s sometimes work on guns that usually like Remington 10s.

I don't have any insider info, but after being in the same situation and looking everywhere for Rem #10 caps and coming up empty handed, I'm pretty sure they froze their cap production after the restructuring. If you're desperate to get some and aren't concerned about cost, there are some available second hand on Gunbroker... but that's the only place I can think of.

I have since moved on to CCI #11 caps, which when paired with SlixShot nipples work perfectly fine. I was very pleased with them, no cap jams or failed ignition after 50 rounds in my Pietta 1851 Navy.

Huh yes

Once Midsouth out of Clarksville TN servers come back online you might find them there (Bad weather caused their server to go off line). The other places that many mentioned will have them as well (at some point).
but to answer the question yes Remington ammo plant in Lonoake is making them.

Any info on where they are shipping them?

To state a fact Not sure but distributors mainly as well as the big box stores. Kinda like the Brass when it becomes available it goes to a sister company for Private sale in MN.
Remington ammunition is owned by Vista Outdoors, (CCI,Federal, Speer).

Remington's assets was broken up as follows:
  • Vista Outdoor, the company that owns ammunition makers Federal, Speer and CCI, purchased Remington’s ammunition business based in Lonoke, Arkansas, as well as certain intellectual properties. It agreed to pay $81.4 million. As a result, jobs were retained, and Remington continues to produce ammunition.
  • Sierra Bullets purchased Barnes Bullets for $30.5 million. Barnes is based in Mona, Utah, and continues its operations.
  • JJE Capital Holdings purchased DPMS, H&R, StormLake and Parker for $2.15 million. This company also owns Palmetto State Armory and Lead Star Arms.
  • Franklin Armory purchased Bushmaster and other related assets.
  • Sportsman’s Warehouse purchased Tapco.
  • Sturm, Ruger, & Co. purchased Marlin for $30 million. (I’ve been told that Marlin products will make their return to market by late 2021.)
  • Remington Arms, including the factory and museum in Ilion, New York, and the handgun barrel factory in Lenoir City, Tennessee, was purchased by the Roundhill Group for $13 million.

I know this doesn't really answer but one question are they still making primers / caps? answer is yes now as to the quantity I can't say

That's an excellent question. In my area the #10 caps are hard to find...right now any caps are hard to find, especially at a reasonable price. My thoughts on it is change the nipples to # 11s and be done with it.

Keep looking, I'm starting to see musket caps for the first time in a years.
No.10 and musket caps appear to be last and next to last for "primer manufacturers" production priority.

CCI No11 = Fine. CCI 10? too short in my opinion. Just have to pinch the 11s and they fit on just right. The 10s just fall off.
That has not been my experience with factory Pietta cones. CCI 10s are the same diameter as Rem 10s, just a tad shorter. 11s needing to pinch to grip the cones is just asking for a chainfire IMO.

CCI 10's do fit all my guns tighter and need more pressure to seat but just because they don't reach the bottom of the nipple doesn't mean they're too short.
You won't remove these with a fingernail like you can Remington #10.

Cabela's/Bass Pro gets them in stock on occasion but only in the online store. Place them on your watch/notify me list and wait for the email. Last fall I did just that and snagged 10 tins the minute I got the notification. Next morning they were all gone. Also, if you have a store nearby, you can have them shipped there, pick them up in person and pay no hazmat.

I've been looking for #10s for years now. Seriously considering getting the Sharpshooter #10 Cap maker kit........
