Are You At Work When Surfing This Site?

I take a couple surf breaks while I'm on the job which probably add up to fewer minutes per day than are spent by those who go out for smoke breaks. Sometimes the brain just needs a breather, and so I spend 5 or 10 minutes on a quick google search of something that caught my attention, or I look at a thread on a forum, or I play a game.

Most of the time it may not be "high road" to be on the Highroad site at work. In fact, this site is probably blocked on numerous company systems.

Well considering I manage a restaurant, during the middle of the day things get mighty slow for me. So yes Im on at work.

My workplace is a little bit bipolar about filtering. Haven't had any of my forums be filtered out yet, but they go on and off again about social networking sites.

Sometimes I read, rarely post.

Most of the time if I look up something online at work, its my bank balance, car parts, gun parts, etc. I try to stay away from anything too interesting so I'll hear the whistle blow.

Boss man can screw around all night and get away with a 50% effort, but we cant. You know, it rolls downhill.

I take my laptop and internet card to work, the boss started using it so much the dept authorized him to pay the bill and purchase new ones for himself and I :D

I'm also retired but was formerly an IT tech and yes I did surf at work but we were also on call 24/7 on a rotating basis because it was a medical facility.

No. And ownership went to the extent that only sites they saved as fav's open up.
I have been openly threatened by management about my gun interest.

Rarely, I have been on here a few times at work but I'm usually too busy. This site and the other forum I frequent aren't blocked at work. It would seem a site needs to be as big and noticeable as Facebook, Myspace, or YouTube to get noticed and blocked.
