I received my new ejector rod for my Ruger Security Six over the weekend. Unfortunately, it seems like the rod was not the only problem.

With the ejector, pin, spring, etc. installed in the cylinder, the new ejector rod is very difficult to tighten past a couple of turns, and is binding on something, as once it is screwed in the ejector won't move.

I think maybe the ejector is very slightly bent, and the straight rod isn't mating up with it correctly.

Is there something else it could be? I'd just as soon order replacement parts for all suspects at once.

Thanks,

Return the parts AND the revolver to Ruger. Get a return authorization. When you run into this stuff, it is cheaper to have Ruger replace/repair than expensive trial and error.

I'll second that. The Ruger setup is more complex than the S&W ejector, so if you are not sure of what's wrong, I think sending the gun to Ruger would be the best bet.
