Arisaka diam vs base?

I just got a sporterized Arisaka Type 99 (7.7mm Jap) with an old Weaver one piece base. It's only held on by two screws (one in front, one in back) as the factory holes end up in the air.

What I'm needing is a bit of help on receiver diameter for choices. I can measure the Arisaka, but I don't know (or own) a Model 70 Win or a Model 700 Rem. Since the Arisaka is a round top receiver, I was hoping it would be close in radius to one of those so I could get another one piece base with more length to work with?

Have any of you all installed a one piece base on an Arisaka? If so, do you remember what you used?

i picked up a type 99 some years ago with a one piece weaver mount.i had the action drilled and tapped for two holes on each side,then cut the mount and drilled it to make a two piece mount.i also put a brownells/ruger style bolt handle on it.only problem was the bolt handle barely clears the scope with low rings.needs medium rings.
