From NRA ILA:
Yesterday, the Arizona Senate Judiciary Committee passed Senate Bill 1474 by a 5 to 3 vote. This bill, sponsored by state Senator Ron Gould (R-3), is right-to-carry reform legislation which would enable law-abiding citizens to defend themselves while on the grounds of higher education campuses. SB 1474 will now be sent to the Senate floor for a vote.Maybe our College Coeds will get the same rights as the rest of us AZ citizens???

We'll see.... :scrutiny:

I dont know why you would think that. She would have signed the last one if it had been written better.

Jan Brewer is pro 2A with out a doubt.

Bighouse, read Governor Brewers signing statements, (here it means "this is why I did it", not like Big O,"this doesn't apply to me"), from 2010 on Constitutional Carry - she's pro 2A. One of the reasons Nappy agonized over leaving the governorship to go work for Big O - it left the state under the woman she despised, Jan Brewer. :)
PS, we're sooooo glad Nappy left...

I've lived in Annapolis, which is a wonderful town, but gun wise in the 'Free State', there is a long way to go.

Goucher is by Baltimore and technically, we are in the county. The security office actually told us that we are in a very safe area. I actually looked that up. There have been over a dozen armed robberies and many more assaults in the immediate neighborhood and businesses since I arrived here. I would hardly say that an armed robbery about once every 10 days is hardly a glowing endorsement of safety, nor is an average of about a rape a month. There actually was a gang murder in the nearby mall not too long ago. And I didn't even look at the statistics for other crimes. It reminds me rather eerily of Britain. And to top it all off, it smells like someone in my dorm complex has taken up the drug game.

^I already had that discussion here. Luckily, I'm only smelling the occasional stench and it's not so strong as if it's going on all the time. I suspect it's some guy either down the hall or on the floor above me. I have already dropped the dorm adviser a tip about this, and seeing as he is actually a good guy who does take the job seriously, I trust that this will get sorted out soon.
