Armed Arizona citizen saves police officer - article in CNN

Hi all-

I did multiple searches but didn't find anything on this yet - what is kind of surprising to me is where I found it - CNN.

Good Samaritan with a gun saves wounded cop.

Short version, a criminal had shot a police officer but then ran out of ammo. He attacked and beat the officer, who was able to protect his service arm, but couldn't get leverage for much else and was literally being beaten to death. An armed citizen arrived, asked the officer if he needed assistance, instructed the assailant to get off, and when this didn't happen shot him twice, killing him.

I agree dog soldier. If they ever bring it up,they are very selective at what they recognize.
