I ran across a site selling Armscor .38spl ammo at $0.28 per round.

How is the Armscor ammo? It seems like a great deal for range ammo. However, I'm not sure if it is corosive, consistent, or anything else. Anybody else ever used their ammo at the range?

What site! :) I shot some of their .45 ammo a couple months back and it was only $17 a box!!! It was really good stuff, it wasn't overly dirty and the box said it was non-corrosive. I thought it was just as accurate as any other brand I've shot. I'd definitely buy some more

Back in 1970 I was just a little out of the Army. I was at a rundown gunstore in Vacaville, Ca looking at I think Steyer surplus rifles. Owner rolled in with a Sea/Land container covered with water marks. He had gone down to Oakland and purchased a container that got dropped when a crane let go. Man wrote a bad check and needed money bad. Container was full of Armscor ammo and consignee would not accept because of potential damage. He told me more I bought the better deal I would get. I gave him $300 cash to cover his short check. He priced 357 mag out to me at $16.75 a thousand. I shot a lot, traded some, still have a good bit. Never a misfire that I remember or have heard of. I use it in S&W 65-5 and Win trapper 18" barrell. I have always wished it had been in brass not nickel plate cases.

The Armscor .22 I tried worked like a charm. Maybe one FTF on a Kimber .22 1911 conversion out of 200 rounds. Comparable to CCI.

Haven't tried the 38 special yet. Will see how that goes.

Bear, Sports Man's guide has it for $0.27 if you buy 500 or 1000. It is $0.28 a round if you buy lots of 250. A box of 50 is $0.29 per round.

You can get 250 rounds for $69.97. 100 rounds would run $29.00. Shipping is obviously extra.
