Has anyone in this forum used Armscor bullets.

TNT sells them around here, but I don't see much history or talk about Armscor bullets/components here in these THR forums.

Also, are there any other distributors of Armcor components that have a website.

Armscor's website is vague.

Armscor ammunition is made in the Phillipines. I've only used their .38 Super ammunition and bullets, but it's been good quality. The brass is reloadable and holds up as well as any other brass in the caliber. The .38 Super load is about the same as the domestic ammunition from Winchester, Remington, etc. in power and accuracy.

I still have about 1,000 rounds of loaded .38 Super Armscor that I bought when it was $6.99 a box on closeout. That was cheaper than I could buy the components for at the time. There was a guy from the Phillipines on one of the other forums at the time and he lived about 25 miles from the Armscor factory, and was paying the equivalent of $19.99 for the same box of ammunition there. Sometimes the world economy just doesn't make sense....

Hope this helps.

Made in the Phillipines, well I guess that explains the vague website and the lack of distributors.

It reminds me of China origin products, hard to get information and sources.

I bought 1k of the .224 bullets in 55 FMJ and it's ok for blasting ammo.

I bought 1000 Rounds of Armscor FMJ 40 S&W rounds for target practice. Great ammo, a little dirty but shot great. No duds, jams or anything.

The bullets are equal to Montana Gold fmj. I believe they supply components to a few of the smaller U.S. ammo manufacturers, like HSM in Montana, which might explain why we don't see it on the shelves very often. Demand is pretty high right now. The importer/distributor is Ivan Walcott at Armscor Precision in Nevada. Same guy that imports and distributes RIA pistols.

I have a half used box of Armscor 124gr LRN ammo sitting on a shelf for almost a year now. It was sooooo dirty. After shooting half a box it took me almost an hour's worth of scrubbing to get a patch to come out clean... I swore off all lead ammo after that. However, all of the lead bullets being sold online look much nicer than these things. Take a look for yourself, pics attached.

I've gone through several boxes of their .45acp FMJ's with no issues, shot just fine. Haven't bought any more because I just don't like to mail order ammo if possible. 7.62x54R surplus is my exception.

Having spoken personaly with the Armscor sales rep as I was trying to but bullets from him, they seem to have most of their bullets sold to manufactures a year out. Midway does have some of their bullets in stock.

If you are looking for 55gr fmj, go to ar15.com and look in the reloading section. a guy in there is selling armscor for really good prices on bulk purchases. RG
