Hello,

I have a Rock Island 1911 Mid size, and I was thinking about picking up their version of the Tanfoglio 9mm polymer midsize in 9mm. My Rock Island 1911 is definitely one of my favorites. Reliable and fun to shoot.

Not much information out there on these MAPP pistols, however I know from experience that Armscor has outstanding customer service. EAA imports various Tanfoglio pistols, but I've read about horrible customer service. I would only buy this pistol version from Armscor.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I have one, a MAP-1 that I bought cheap a few years ago. Full sized grip frame with a compact sized slide. The one I have doesn't have great accuracy though. I'm thinking about sending it back to RIA to have them check it out.

It's pretty much exactly a Tanfoglio. Even the grips on mine are Tanfoglio with the name scratched out. Well built guns (other than the accuracy on my specific gun).

Not too sure about thr polymer ones, though, but the metal ones are good if you can find one cheap.

Thank you so much for the reply.
There are not a lot of these out there, but the customer service I've experienced from Armscor has been excellent, so I was thinking about getting one of these. I'm sure they will take care of you.

Take care.
