Armscor Rock Island Armory 1911 vs. High Standard 1911

Is it true that High Standard 1911 .45 ACP is made by Armsor? If so is it considered to be just as good as the RIA 1911 .45 ACP?

Yes, it is true

I've fired several RIA 1911, but only handles a couple of HS 1911s. From that limited impression, I thought the RIA was a better built gun

Of the different Armscor 1911s I've either shot or inspected, the two that impressed me the most were the RIA and the STI Spartan

When I see that the RIA 1911 Tactical is going for more Than $550 now that is getting closer to auto-ordinance or Remington 1911 R1.45 ACP so I would also have to include these two other guns that are slightly ave the price of RIA.
