I've been wondering, when a manufacturer chooses to highlight a stainless gun with black parts, are they blackened stainless, or blued? I would think that a person buying a stainless gun would do so for the rust resistant properties, but any blued parts might start showing rust and look hideous too soon. I would prefer an all stainless gun except for blackened sights (for the purpose of being able to define them better). They could be blackened stainless if possible. IF they use blued parts, I think they are doing a disservice to the buyer.

Here is another answer for the photo of the muzzle flash where the hammer is cocked.

Camera on tri-pod and set for slow shutter speed (one second will do). Set camera on timer.

You are in very low light. Very low. Take position with gun cocked. When shutter opens the flash fires and shooter then fires the shot. The flash records the hammer in cocked position. The shot blast is recorded before shutter closes.

Of course...shooter could shoot double action and all would look "right"
