Everyone is soooo caught up in what they use for defense, we don't hear much about what's just plain fun to shoot.
I use a Ruger Vaquero 45 most of the time at the range for fun, but have a place in my heart for autos as well as shotguns and rifles.
Have fun showing off what you love!

Marlin 1894CB 45lc. It is too fun to shoot. At least right now.

It always tickles me to shoot the Browning Auto Five. Half corn machine, half trombone.

Mine has a yard of Belgian barrel on it, choked 'one star' (tighter than tight) so it isn't tacticool.

@ Olderbutwiser:

Can't go wrong with old reliable. I'm with you: Colt .357 with .38 special wadcutters......They go wherever you throw 'em. Head shots all day long on a silhouette.

My early 70's vintage Ruger Standard Automatic with skinny 4-inch barrel and fixed sights. I've been shooting the hell out of this gun since I was in junior high and it just never gets old.

love my husbands Ruger Standard Auto too. My husband has been shooting it since he was 8. We love to shoot everything from the little .22 to his 30-06.

My very first gun was given to me by my dad for Christmas when I was about 12. It was a Winchester 250, lever action .22; and simply for the nostalgia of it, it is my favorite gun to shoot. I own and have shot many, many guns over the years, but the there is just something about that first one...

Hello friends and neighbors // My S&W 586 goes to the range every time, makes a good do all tool and I enjoy shooting it.

The biggest surprise and my favorite to shoot is a 1939 Winchester Model 69A.
Dead on accurate at last weeks range trip, as usual.

I learned to shoot with both the 69 and 69A at Boy Scout Camp and relearned with them in HS ROTC with our Marine DI /teacher ( Thanks TOP )

My Marlin 336 30-30.... Just makes me smile, remember hunting trips, friendships. Love to shoot it....open sights or with scope for a little distance marksmanship!

Funnest Plinkers are always a Ruger MK 1 - 2 - or 3 I like heavy Barrell Target

I can relate. My father in law has a Thompson Center Contender 30-30 that I love to shoot! I have actually had dreams about shooting it...... lol

This one is FUN...

My favorite is the Browning A-5 that my father willed to me when he passed. It was his most prized possession. It may not be the fanciest or most valuable shotgun, but it is a fine piece given to me by fine man. Dad was a simple man, utilitarian to the core. This gun was extravagant by his standards. It will be well cared for and will be used to kill pheasants till the day I pass. I hope one of my three sons will do the same.

Easy question for me-Browning Buckmark with a 4" TacSol barrel and a Burris Fastfire. Perfect balance, points well, very accurate, and great ammo cost.

My favorite (which I no longer have :() was a Marlin Golden 39A .22 LR levergun. This was with the old half-cock safety and could hold 29 shorts/19 LR in the mag and they could even be mixed in the mag.
The favorite I have now is a Ruger .22 SA Convertible (LR/Mag).

SIG BLACKWATER 1911.

Outstanding pistol, Makes Liberals Cry and a blast to shoot. To heavy to carry, but fun for the range and could work on the night stand.

My favorite gun to shoot is any Remington Model 8 or 81. They are cool looking rifles but they can be hard to feed as the ammo for a number of them is no longer in production. The 35 Rem and 300 Savage versions can be kind of brutal to shoot but the 25 Rem is a real sweet one. I also have a real soft spot for the M1 Carbine which I shoot as often as I can.
Favorite shotgun is a Browning Citori in 410 with a Browning Citori XS 28 ga being a real close second.
Favorite pistols is either a Ruger Super Redhawk in 454 Casull (though I prefer 45 Colt for plinking and most hunting) or a Browning Buckmark Target.
Favorite rimfire rifle is a Marlin 917 commorative with fluted barrel and grey laminate stock though I shoot a Marlin 25N more often due to price.

I think the 10/22 gets the most range time at this point. It's reliable, accurate enough, not too loud, can be shot in areas where centerfires would draw too much attention, and is so cheap to feed!

Having said that, I hope to own a Jim Chambers PA Fowler in about .58 caliber smoothbore by this time next year. I love the history of flintlocks, want to get into reenacting as English Provincial/Militia for the French and Indian war, and know from experience that a large caliber flintlock smoothbore is just a hell of a lot of fun to put lead downrange with! When I own this gun, I think it will become one of my favorites to shoot.

I've got to say any of my M-1 Carbines are likely my favorites to shoot. If you've never shot one, you'll never understand why. They're just plain fun to shoot.

My 1895 .45-70.
From Trapdoor loads to high performance (sadistic) loads I create.
Fun to shoot and watch other people grab their shoulders in pain and laugh
