Your favorite firearm?

I'm still at the same place I was last time this question was asked: The gun I think most about shooting when I'm not able to go out and shoot is the BRNO Model 4 below. It's not the only one I daydream about shooting, but for the past couple of years I've probably thought about it almost as much as all others combined, and I look forward to any opportunity I can create to shoot it. Given all that, I think I'd have to say it must be my favorite.

Looks like NIGHTLORD40K and I think pretty similarly. :)

This S&W 17 goes to the range with me every time.

Either of theses two: 61938-1ed0efa4d036d5473490b565f5ac93ae.jpg 7 Springfield Range Officer Target 9mm.jpg Top choices 9mm 1911's. Beretta APX & Canik Mete SFX are tack drivers as well, but don't feel like a nice 1911. 1b-Beretta Fiber Optic.jpg 8a-Canik Holosun.jpg

As much as I love my Mausers, they will never take over as favorite from my 10/22 Carbine, looks like it's been drug through every patch of brush in the country by a twelve year old...used to know that 12 year old back in 1987...:D

A simple question that cant be covered by a poll...what is your favorite firearm?

While i don't have an overly impressive inventory, my range of gear includes 22, 223/556, 308, 30-06, a couple of front stuffers, 20 and 12 guage, and 9, 10, 45, 38/357.

What's the firearm you own that is your favorite...your go to gun?

My fave is a simple 20g pump...followed by a 10mm 1911. then my AR platforms.

What's your favorite?
I just picked up this absolutely beautiful Sig Sauer m400 Moe enhanced. 556/223. 16 in barrel with a one in seven twist. It also has a forward assist which I'm very thankful for. It's my very first AR-15 ever. Not bad for a first AR platform. I love how heavy it is. Compared to like the palmetto Armory rifles I've handled and all of the Smith & wessons.. this thing feels like it's a solid 2 lb heavier. I could be mistaken on that number but it feels it. I put a carry handle on it and removed the flip-up rear sight. 2022-02-17-17-38-02-143.jpg 20220211_111944.jpg 2022-02-17-17-37-09-124.jpg

For me there is a difference between "favorites." Favorite to own, favorite to shoot, favorite to carry, and favorite for SD.
If I had to lose every gun I own except one, my model 94 is staying.
The gun I have the most fun shooting right now is my self built Ar-15.
The gun I'm probably gonna grab first in the middle of the night is my XD40, and followed by my 870.
My favorite to shoot skeet is my old 1100.
My favorite gun for distance and accuracy right now is my X-bolt LR 300wm.

I suppose it's this, my home defense MPX. Recoil is a joke but its rapid firing isn't. I might have little choice but to Form 1 the thing in June, depending on the ATF's next scheduled infringement.

Offhand McFlan: my P-83 had a better DA trigger and slightly better overall ergos than my five Makarovs (2 EG, 2 Bulgy and a .380 Russkie). Well-done on that Saiga !

My other favorite gun is shipping tomorrow from Michigan (Buy Now = bought yesterday).

To complement my A3SK (welded scope rail, 16" barrel), ordered the "GI" model (GI is Not the GIR) which has no rail, an 18" barrel, and is in the exact configuration as the military G3. - except for the narrow handguard.

Sold two other guns and 1,000 rds. of centerfire ammo to finance it.

Thinking, today is Wednesday so maybe a Colt Python, not real sure but maybe.

Now tomorrow is Thursday . Come thursday I may lose interest in revolvers and move on to rifles, I have a fondness for M1 Garands so maybe.

With Friday only a few says away I may make this recently acquired Remington Rand 1911A1 my very favorite pistol, maybe.

Seriously about every gun I own is my favorite or I wouldn't own them. I simply cannot call out any single gun as favorite. With summer approaching, albeit slowly but surely I will start enjoying more time on the outdoor range. Here in NE Ohio winters turn my outdoor range into a frozen tundra, not fun as I get older. Winters and cold drive me indoors to the indoor range. Let's face it, rifle at 75 feet is not really fun, not for me anyway. When I plan to shoot I choose the gun I just feel in the mood to shoot. All goes back to I really do not have a favorite which is likely good and prevents jealousy among the guns and nobody wants a jealous gun. :)

My favorite is the S&W Model 36 Air Weight that my wife carries because it offers her protection when I am not around. My second favorite is the Model 60 that I carry because it offers some protection to me.

The others that I own? The one in my hand at any given moment.

Henry H001 is my all time favorite. It's fun, accurate and shoots any 22 ammo. Pair it with any 22 revolver and it's even better.

Lately it's been this PSA Marauder in .300 blk. I don't know why...it's not particularly accurate and it's loud, but it puts a smile on my face every time.

My Lee Enfield No4 Mk1* Scout Rifle. I recently posted it in a scout rifle thread, and was accused of throwing it in people's face... yet again... lol. BUT that's the main reason why it's my favorite. This is the one project rifle I did where everything just came out right. Not only did I get everything right, and I have the rifle I always wanted... but it gets attention everywhere I go, and every time I show a photo of it. All my other guns are just normal looking guns, and this is my one showcase piece. It's just an absolutely beautiful looking weapon, that has great lines, and is very functional at the same time. Generally speaking, I'm a bubba, but I didn't bubba this one, and I'm rather proud of that.

I'm pretty damn good with the thing too. At least, out to as far as my tired old eyes can see. (maybe 250/300 yds)

Now the Lee Enfield IS my favorite, but it is NOT the last firearm I would keep. That distinction goes to my AR. Though not anything close to as pretty, the AR is by far the more useful tool. It also sports a fast targeting red dot, but also a weapon light for use in darkness. It's lighter recoiling, and semi-auto, so way faster shooting. It has higher magazine capacity, and I have way more magazines, and way more ammo available for it. I also have plenty of spare parts for it, even whole spare ARs, and they are easier to come by should they be needed. It's lighter, and faster handling, and I have a lifetime (28 years) of experience both in training, and wartime, carrying one of it's type to call upon, should I ever need to use it to defend my family.

But, the Lee Enfield has a special place in my heart.

My favorite gun would have to be a tie between
My 1928 12ga Winchester model 12 I bought on my 18th birthday, and my 1921 16ga Ithaca Flues I bought shortly after that
