Hi guys... I'm new here but have been over at TFL for years now. Not too new to this fine sport/art that we participate in, but I'm always eager to learn what I can :)

Anyway, I want to ask about a pistol I received in a horse trade last week. I really got an excellent hook-up. I got an Astra 4000 model (Falcon) with a .22lr slide/mag and a .32acp slide/mag. I've played around with it a little, and I'm decently impressed.

I've also found out that the .32acp slide will hold a .380 auto bbl, and with just a .380 bbl and magazine I can have a tri-caliber weapon. I saw the complete set go for 1600 dollars recently on gunbroker. Needless to say, I would happily invest the money to get a bbl and magazine in .380 to turn a free gun into a 1600 dollar gun. I AM having a very hard time finding any possibility of available parts, though. Does anyone know where I could possibly find the .380 parts for this pistol.

Also does anyone have any experience or opinion of the pistol. I'm just throwing it out there to see if anyone knew more than what the standard internet search on the subject reveals. I appreciate any feedback, and God bless:)

Must have been this one you saw. Reminds me of the HK4 multi-caliber set.

I have a great little Astra 3000 (your gun's predecessor) that I wouldn't part with.

Yeah pretty much resembles that... It's actually a neat gun. I've carried it since Saturday (I had to take it to the range to test it out first, of course :D). It makes a nice little carry pistol, and if I could find the .380 barrel I could basically have a 50 year old P3AT. Well, except the single action with a manual safety, and all steel construction to weigh it down a little more. It's actually very easy to conceal and pleseant to shoot in .22lr and .32acp. I can only imagine .380 being no worse than a glock 27, which is manageable.

And I'm with you, I don't think I'd be interested in selling it, even if I did assemble enough for the complete set. How do you like that 3000, and what caliber is it, 9mm? Anyone have any idea where I could possibly find parts (.380 bbl specifically). Or, conversly, where I could buy the entire pistol in .380 so I could assemble the entire set?
