This was a little but nice gun show last weekend. Admittance $ 5.00, parking free.

Strolling the aisles there was a booth with this "commemorative" Winchesters (the decors are etched, not engraved). I couldn't believe my eyes:

THERE WAS A WINCHESTER 94 WITH A PORTRAIT OF SLICK WILLIE, THE AMERICAN FLAG, AND ONE OF HIS UNIMPORTANT SENTENCES (no, not "I never, EVER, had sexual relations with that woman...") that I cant remember ON THE RECEIVER.

As I remember, he was a BIIIIG supporter of the RKBA!

:banghead:

It's gotta be a joke. You didn't get a pic by any chance?

I'm just amazed to hear there was a gunshow in Pahrump. Outside of the handful of casinos on the main drag, is there a building in that town big enough for a decent show?

I'm sorry, as I'm a professional photographer, I don't carry cameras with me in my leisure time.

The show was a little banquet room with a tent extending outwarts to the rear of the Pahrump Nugget Casino. Aside from one dealer, the prices were decent, nothing like shows in Las Vegas.

No toys, no jerky, no nazi stuff, nearly a real "Gun"-show.

Dude, I can't believe you didn't tell me you were coming so we could meet each other.
I was impressed with the show. It wasn't big but there was a lot of guns there. There were no BS tables with the non-gun related stuff.
The only thing I bought was a 1911 bushing wrench.
I missed the klinton karbine: I am not that interested in that type of thing so I breazed past those tables.

I didn't see Art there. The last time I saw him was when I went to vote.
I don't think he is awake during the day.

I was there too, went Saturday. Did not see the Clinton Carbine either :)

I wonder, was it over by the entrance of the tent? There was a guy over on the left hand side as you walked into the tent part that was selling some seriously engraved firearms.

Show was not bad. Wish the tent was a bit bigger but all and all I got some decent deals on some stuff I have been looking for.

I will be looking forward to the next one.

I can't make up my mind on these carbines and I can't afford to buy them all. I just wish they would do ONE that had that picture of shumer/kennedy/feinstein/boxer on it.
Wouldn't that be great to present each of them with an engraved carbine ?

I think they should engrave the rear-end of a JACKASS with a picture of Clinton and Gore.

Ah. Interesting. I always assumed the casinos wouldn't host gun shows (given the carry prohibitions). At one time, I was within weeks of moving out to live in that little hamlet. Didn't work out. Long story. Still have a certain fondess for the place, although I worry it will become a distant suburb of Vegas eventually. Last time I was there, some developers were already putting up some suburbanesqe subdivisions.

I always wondered about the certain percentage of the population who seemed intent on collecting every junked car in Nevada and depositing it on their property though.

It used to be common for Gunshows to be held in casinos in Las Vegas back in the day. There are still some. The antique arms show is at the Riviara I think ?
The Horseshoe and Sams Town have guns on display in the casino.

444, when I attend the next show there I'll contact you! Unfortunately, Sam's Town got rid of all their displays (only Sam Boyds SAA is still in a case at the entrance) as well as their large Western-Store.

The casino had a 8.5 x 11" paper sheet at the front entrance thet read:

"No guns in the casino, please use the back entrance to the gun show"

This "Wonder-Winchester" was located on the right side of the banquet room shortly before you were entering the tent. I am ABSOLUTELY sure, it will be there at the next show, and this time, I'll have at least an electronic cheapo camera with me!
