Head of ATF Ken Melson has been reassigned as a result of the gun-trafficking operation with Mexico.

It was supposedly a "mutual" decision between Melson and the administration.

Hopefully this will keep the issue in the lime light and show that a lot of the gun trafficking problems on the border were not the result of lax laws but were facilitated by the ATF.

(Posted here due to prior discussion about the issue)

Not surprising. Get rid of Melson to make room for Traver. That guy makes me sick.

But his replacement is Traver yet. Anyone know anything about this B. Todd Jones who is replacing him?

Shakeup at ATF: Melson out

Tuesday's shuffle was 'Fast and Furious'

From Examiner:

"Kenneth Melson, who has served as acting director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives since April 2009 has been replaced today and will become senior advisor on forensic science in the Justice Department’s office of Legal Policy."

This looks like a lot of deck chair shuffling on the Titanic.

So, does this mean Barrack and Hillary are exempt from investigation? "Of the people, by the people, for the people"...something seems amiss here! No?

Calm down; the replacement is not Travers...it's B. Todd Jones.

(IMO, too bad it wasn't Travers, cause that would have really stirred up the pot and got Congress going...)

Ignore the above, he's a pot stirrer

From what I read, it's just the usual bureaucratic shuffle, really wish this would get blown wide open (and as public) as WaterGate.

Nice to know you can be an accessory to murder and get transferred to a different job as a punishment for your misdeeds.

One law for me, another for thee, peon.
