This sounds like a great time if I lived closer I would be attending. Any of you CO members should check this out.

Independence Institute's 4th Annual Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms Party

Join us on Saturday, June 24th for the most fun, most politically incorrect event of the year - the Independence Institute's 4th Annual Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms Party at the Kiowa Creek Sporting Club. Join us as we irritate nannyists everywhere with a day of sporting clays, cigars, lunch and libations. The ATF t-shirt, guaranteed to scare all your liberal friends, is the must-have, free market fashion item of the year. For reservations or more information contact [email protected] or check the event page. Better hurry because this party has made national news!

PS I did some searches and could not find any other posting of this story.

i assume the drinking comes after the shooting...
other than that, it does sound like fun

I know it would have been better to post it sooner, but I just heard about it on NRA news.

How could they forget

EXPLOSIVES? :scrutiny:

Can't be much of a Fourth of July party without "the bombs bursting in air," now can it? An appalling oversight.........

The 18th (or so) annual Blow Up The World and BBQ party is also the 24th.
Features Tobacco, Firearms (lots and lots of them) Explosives, and Alcohol after.
I'll see if I can post some pics. It's up just north of Denver.
J. and Z.: you should keep in touch.

We had a minimum of one of everything, including BP cannon.
And we had this finale involving a photoflash cartridge.:what:
WooHoo!

Since I'm not a trap shooter and can't stand John Caldera I guess I didn't miss anything. Top it off I'm not drinking because I'm pumping iron and I'm not smoking anything anymore (stopped cigarettes Feb. 6) I guess this really wasn't the sort of event I'd enjoy.

I did spend yesterday pumping lead out of my guns at the range.:) Today, too!

I had a quandry one night, how did they lump, alcohol, tobacco and firearms together. I called the ATF one night and asked the agent who answered, what wine to serve, with an AR-15, he promptly said, what the hell are you smokin':neener:
