I had an Athlon 6x24 AROS rifle scope on my 6.5 Creedmore. I needed some waranty work done so I sent it to them. They received my scope at 1 o'clock on a monday then they sent it to their lab. I could not believe on Friday morning before noon I received a replacement. I then installed scope it works just fine. I could not believe the waranty service they have in place. I will buy more scopes from Athlon. Deputy Bruce

I bought a Neos, there entry level...bottom of the line model, just to try them out.

It didnt hold up. It held zero just fine on an AR-10, but the parallax went blurry.

Same thing you did, called them, shipped it off...2 days later got a call from them. It couldnt be fixed, had no more in stock at this time, so we are sending you the next step up, the Talos model and wanted to if I preferred Front plain, since thats what it had. Agreed, 3 days later UPS dropped it off.

Turns out to be a pretty damn good scope for what it is. It holds up to everything Ive put it in so far..the AR-10, M1A, and 8mm Mauser.

I use it as a tester scope..a spare I keep around and throw on a new rifle to see if its worth dropping big money for a nice scope for.

Definitely top notch warranty service! I hope they sell enough scopes to make it, they are just getting into it

Ive also used the warranty twice...One im almost positive was my screw up on not tightening the lock screws on my turret, thought about it after i shipped the scope. They didnt call me on it and replaced the scope.
The second one was a small mark on the faaaaarrrr right side of the field of view. I noticed it not too long after i got the scope, but never did anything about it because it was always mounted, and worked fine. Finally sent it back week before last, and received the NEW version of the Argos (both the ones i sent back were old Argos), the Argos HMR. That was a heck of an upgrade.

Anyway, Ive owned 8 or 9 Athlon scopes, Neos, Talos, Argos, Argos HMR, Midas BTR, Midas HMR, and Ares BTR. Ive been impressed with the image for the cost, and had nothing but good experiences with the customer service when Ive used it.

The rifle my Midas BTR rides on got knocked down yesterday, and the scopes IR knob took the hit square, the gun then pivoted and smacked the bell and muzzle into the cement. Well see if it survived the abuse in the next few days I think....If not it will be going back as well.

A lot the guys would/will knock them because the warranty had to used in the first place, when a good product, you wouldnt have too.

They would have a point, but Im willing to give them the slack and time they need to get rolling. Everyone starts from the bottom, and they are jumping into a crowded game. Like a lot of great companies...it took years to get where they are. Ill give Athlon the benefit of the doubt. They stand behind their product 100%...so its an excellent start.

I have a Midas BTR 1x6 which has the best 1x magnification I've used, compared against a Burris XTR 1-4 and a Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8, neither of which comes even close to the Athlon.

I did drop the upper it was mounted to, I fumbled it from waist height, it landed on a padded office chair and then dropped about 12 inches on to a carpeted floor and it rendered the scope unusable. It lost zero, the turrets no longer worked and it lost focus.

Like everyone else has said, the warranty service was outstanding and I got a new scope in just a few days. This happened late 2019.

I am concerned about how durable the scope is. For a range toy I can recommend it, but if used on a fighting rifle I don't think it can be trusted, at all. Hopefully new versions will address this because otherwise it's a terrific optic.
