So, while browsing for what I thought would be a new 9mm carbine range toy, I ended up purchasing an ATI Omni Maxx Ar-15 pistol instead. With the price south of $400, I couldn't resist and before I knew it it was in my virtual cart and then ordered.....So, rather than the well thought out and pre-pondered purchases I usually make, I totally bought this on a whim....Did I make a mistake? Reviews all seem pretty good from what Ive seen. Anything I should know about in general about AR pistols? Plans are to basically leave it alone after addding a shockwave brace and a Bushnell TRS-25. Should have the gun and all components by next weekend.

I figure a gun buy is a mistake when I find out (or already knew) I'd never get back at least 85% or so what I spent on it if I realized I needed the money instead. I don't see that being the case with your handgun.

I just recently put one of those Bushnells on my Ruger-Tapco 10/22. I haven't sighted it yet, but it seems pretty solid and stout for an inexpensive dot. I read a lot of good reviews on it before I bought it (my first red-dot.)
