...because very soon I'll be joining your ranks. :D :D :D
I swung by my friendly local fun dealer a couple of weeks ago and asked him to get on findin' me a Razorback, and he ordered it for me yesterday. I already have one 10mm pistol, a Kimber Stainless Target II, and really like it. And I've heard nothing but good things about the Dan Wessons, so I finally took the plunge and ordered me one. :D So tell me about your experiences with it. Good? Bad? Pet loads for it? Mods to handle them? Inquiring minds want to know...

I have serial number 101 from the first limited edition batch.

It's got over 5000 rounds through it and it's never had any problems.

I replaced springs and firing pin at around 3000, and the extractor recently.

Nothing broke I just figured it was time.

All I changed on it was the grips, I went to a rosewood instead of the black that the first batch came with.

Here it is on the left with my Delta, which is serial number xxx101 which is why I got 101 on the RZ10.

The Delta has over 15k rounds through it. It was my IPSC gun for close to 10 years. It's been reblued twice so far.

That Delta is a beauty, TR. Not long ago I saw an ad for a blued one on a local web site for about $850 but didn't have the funds. I see you have the Silvertip on display there with your 10s, have you been running them (or an equivalent load) through your Razorback on a regular basis? I don't remember right offhand but am thinking the RZ has at least a stiffer recoil spring than the Kimbers. Those rosewood grips look good, too.

Thanks :) It was the first handgun I ever owned. Bought it the day I turned 21. Actually had it on lay away before that. I think the only original parts left are the frame and slide LOL

I carry the RZ with Silvertips when I carry it.

I've fired probably 300-400 Silvertips through it.

I can't remember what spring came in it, I have a full length guide rod and a Wolff spring in both of these now.

You will be very happy with your Razorback I am sure. I wish I had not opted for the front serrations, but it's too late now.
They are pretty hard on holsters.

Well, you obviously weren't buying it to be a safe queen, which is the way it should be. But that's just my opinion. I buy guns to shoot them, not let them sit there and look perty. :D The RZs don't come with the FS serrations anymore, at least if the image on the Dan Wesson web site is any indication. I can take 'em or leave 'em, though, but the point of holster wear is definitely something to be considered. As far as I remember the RZ comes with a 20-lb-recoil spring. I am thinking at least a 22-lb-spring & shok-buff may be in order for the hotter loads. I have yet to try Double Tap, but I would like to eventually, even though I couldn't afford feeding those to my 10mms on a regular basis.

I got a Razorback about two months ago, it's been great. I would like to change the trigger just for aestetics, one that has lightening holes. Mine does not have the forwaed barrel serrations on it.
