Thanks for that. Had me worried for a while.

Yes, they scuttle them as dive wrecks, for scuba divers.

I don't like it much; I think a warship deserves a better ending than that.

But I guess it beats the alternative -- coming back as a Kia or a Toyota

I have always thought it was a tremendous waste of resources but I have heard that "they" claim it costs more to scrap and recycle all that metal than it does to make new metal.

I mean it probably went down with the props which are tons of brass each. Then I noticed it went down with the gun barrels. I've heard they make good bunker buster missiles.
