Shootings force family into hiding

October 31, 2003 - 8:06PM

A family was placed under police protection after the latest in a series of shootings which have left four people dead in Sydney's south-west.

Ahmad Fahda, 25, became the fourth victim when gunmen fired up to 30 rounds at him in broad daylight at a Punchbowl service station in front of horrified onlookers.

His murder was linked to another drive-by shooting and an execution-style slaying which killed two members of the one family and a woman in recent weeks.

Ali Abdulrazak was gunned down outside the Lakemba Mosque on August 29 while his nephew, Ziad Abdulrazak, 24, and 22-year-old Mervat Hamka were killed in a drive-by shooting on a Greenacre home earlier this month.

Police said Mr Fahda was an associate of the Abdulrazak family.

"The Razak family have been consulted, and of course they are under police protection and consultation," the lead police investigator in the case, Detective Chief Superintendent Bob Inkster told reporters.

No further potential targets had been identified, Supt Inkster said.

Nope. Isn't true, total fabrication.
Guns have been banned, so clearly, this isnt happening.
