Here's a post that shows a self-metering flask that's adjustable from 15 - 30 grains.
The tip of the flask has a spring loaded plunger valve built into it. --->>> https://www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/lodestar-powder-measure.570788/#post-7063538

The whole thread is pretty interesting because it also has a video of the Lodestar powder dispenser that a guy invented.--->>> https://www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/lodestar-powder-measure.570788/
The same guy also made his own 24 cap straight line capper and a Vaseline dispenser.
Kwi43 said that he saw similar automatic powder dispensers used in competitions at Friendship, Indiana over the years.

Here's the video that shows the items in use.

And this shows his target:

I have not posted it anywhere but here now. I was going to show it in another thread that was discussing powder flasks then you posted one which I didn't know existed till now. It's so simple that I'm sure others have made something simular. Mine is all wood but for thin brass plates above and below the slide and a brass bushing that can be changed to a different charge. Just the same as a bench powder bar works.
I made the first bushing for 22 grains which I use for my 1851 colt. Have not made any more bushings yet for it. 32 grains would be the max though. The slide pulls out after removing a pin on the other side so you can change them. One hand operation. Index finger through the blue ring and thumb in the slide ring. Push slide with thumb and pull it back out with thumb again.

Mr.powdermark...thank you for putting such faith in me. Buuuut i havent even gotten around to experimenting with flasks. I may in the future tho. Only reason i havent is because i weigh my charges on a digital grain scale and then make into paper cartridges both with and without bullet. But thank you for the comment...i will take it as a compliment :-D

The Rod Doc,

I still use a plastic store bought version of that powder measure I got in the late 1970's or earlier 80s with Unique in loading pistol ammo.

Neat DIY version.

Thanks for sharing.
