I have a question regarding it because it's becoming sorta aggitating.
I got a RCBS Uniflow Dispenser and took apart, Cleaned as I was suppose to and then rubbed it down with some alcohol.

I had watched a YouTube video to make sure I did things correctly.
The guy used RCBS Die cleaner, The only thing I had available was Brake Cleener. So I used it, Gave it a bit to dry and it with alcohol.

Set it up and then decided to run a Lb's worth of A#7 thru it.
Opened the metering screw the whole way as suggested and started to let the powder flow. Right away, The powder was getting stuck to the hopper and everything else in-between.

No problem. Take it apart and clean it off. Lost a bit of powder thanks to this and decided to call RCBS and ask them what would be the best way to go about this. Told me to use the alcohol and then use dryer sheets.
I forgot all about that so I picked some up and ran about 2 thru it.

The inside of the hopper looks all etched up now because of it and I tried to get it as close to the base as possible. After I was done with that, I gave it one more go. It's still doing it. So again, Took it apart and cleaned it and hit it again with more dryer sheets.

I decided to test it this time by only pouring a small amount to see if it will do it and it is still doing it.

What am I doing wrong here? Is it the powder?
Is it because it is in a carpeted room? Did I not use enough alcohol? Was it the Brake Cleener? Any help would be awesome!

The problem is the cheap plastic - I think acrylic - they use in their measures.

I stopped static cling on a plastic scale pan by coating it with Midway spray mould release.
I bet it would work on that measure hopper, too. It won't be transparent any more, though, the mould release is mostly graphite.

Hmmm... Is it humid where you're at?

I'm using the Uniflow also. The only thing I did to it was rub the shipping oil off of it with a paper towel and run a bunch of powder through it.

I did have some volume consistency issues but that was solved with a baffle, small cylinder and more use.

Humidity is all I've got. Sorry if that doesn't help much. Good Luck

I've not had this problem with either my RCBS Unifow or my Hornady powder measures. I would use some more static dryer sheets to completely wipe both the inside and outside of the measure. If you have high humidity levels, that could be part of the problem.

Wipe all parts that touch the powder with a used fabric softener dryer sheet to reduce static buildup, then run powder through it.
I even do this on my plastic funnel. It works.

When will folks learn to not use solvents on plastic, or at least do a small test patch first. Frosted plastic will be the result without checking the solvent's capability with the plastic.

Static cling dryer sheets will help, rub the plastic down and leave the sheet in the measure when it is in storage with no powder left in the measure.

It will take a while before the graphite coating from the powder builds up enough to prevent the static cling. 1 pound of powder run the the measure is not enough regardless of the myth passed on to us from the manufacturer.

Get a long handle artist paint brush. It will help sweep the powder down to the bottom and out of the measure.

A lot of it is the powder your using. Power pistol and Unique don't stick to mine at all. Titegroup really sticks due to it's high Nitro content, universal is not as bad.
+1 on the cheap plastic, of the three measures I have, Hornady, RCBS, and Lee pro-auto disc the Lee has the best plastic in its hopper, its by far has the least problem with powder sticking and stays the cleanest looking. It doesn't acid etch as fast of the others.
I gave up trying to keep Titegroup from sticking so now I use a shop vac crevice nozzle to clean all three of my measures out when done with them.
Works very well.

Well, thank you everyone for the advice.
And I'll make sure not to add any more solvents to it like the rep did, lol.
Need to find a longer brush....

The dryer sheets work because they are wax coated and when heated leave a wax film on everything - that is what prevents static cling. I used to live in a very arid climate and once in a while would need to use the sheet. What is really important is whether your drops are accurate and consistent, regardless of whether there is some static cling to the hopper sides

It has to be a used dryer sheet or would a new one work just fine?
I as because I had used several new ones and didn't look like it did much.

I use a new dryer sheet.

Results are not like flipping a switch. When the powder measure is not in use, I leave the dryer sheet in the hopper.

If you use dryer sheets in the dryer, you get multiple uses from the sheet.

Just ground your powder measure if you get so much static build up.
In this dry country around here I can jump a spark 12 inches to the wood stove in the winter.:)

John, I may have to do that.
I decided to use the mount that came with it and use it to attach it to the press and lock it down with the die.

I'll try that out.

Empty the measure out and put a little graphite in it. Shake it up to cover everything. Dump out the graphite and you're good to go

Power Pistol is the only powder that clings to the hopper of mine, but mine has been in use for 30+ years and is well coated wth graphite from all that powder.
