AWA lightning bolt

anybody ever heard of this thing? It's a lightning pump action rifle, like Taurus and others make, but it is cut down to (about) 12" barrel and a sawed off stock and it is sold as a pistol. just saw it in a magazine today. i think it was Shooting magazine, but i guess i dont remember. it was just really cool and i was wondering if anyboy had heard of it. google turned up nothing and the AWA website hadnt been updated in 3 years.

internet searching tells me it was in Shoot! magazine, i think, but nothing more on the gun/company.

AWA went belly up if I remember right. Taurus makes a copy now, although I haven't seen one. I got to shoot one of the AWA'a when they came out. Very short stroke, very fast and fun.

that's odd because it was in a new magazine and they spoke of future plans for larger calibers, etc.

it'd be pretty cool if taurus made these since it'd have a better known name/company behind the product.

Talk about service...I already got a response back and on a Saturday evening even. impressive. Now then, bout this Lightning Bolt pistol...
well, For a couple weeks I've had absolutley NO idea waht I was gonna buy next. I've done rather well this year with firearms purchase. About 8 or 9 total I guess maybe even 10 of them came home this year. Because of that I've been uncalled by any others for a couple weeks. Nothing of interest. hat is until now. Seeing this little AWA gem on the e-mail did it for me. I WILL have one of these little gems.
They're to be available in November and be available in blued, blued/CCH, hardchrome and nickel. All I can say is WOW!

Gotta thank you for this thread and making me aware of this model.

Printed out the PDF files and scanned it. Ink was running low so it's not the greatest coloring but you get the idea.

i got an email back today. production in november, delivery in time for x-mas. if these things where under $600 one would be under my tree. but i sure dont think i can come up with $1000.

should i start taking donations???

but $1000 is cheaper than a shortened lever action. which is something else i want(will have before i'm done).

Well, i guess i should chime in. I don't own one. I have started seeing more of the lever action version, even fondled one, but i think it was $1450, so i didn't buy it. I'd like to hear from someone who has one and how the like shooting it.
