AWB compliant AR's

This whole thread is interesting to a non-AR guy. Outsiders viewpoint: Why squabble and modify, spend more money on making a AR work as best as your allowed? Just because its an AR? If your limited because of the state, you lost. Change firearm systems. If round to round speed is an issue I would look at an alternate system. Pump action has already been mentioned. Added bonus IMO is more powerful rounds. Maybe because Im a hunter first, I would rather go BAR(Not the WW2) or a pump action or even a lever gun with a long ammo tube.

NY State for the rifle AW definition allows zero "features" on a semi automatic.

I am not in a prohibited state but I'm starting to warm up to the idea of a pump action AR as a suppressed 300 blackout platform. It's hard to quiet a gas powered rifle but a plugged gas port and a locked bolt would be great for creating subsonic loads without having to worry if they will cycle the action. You could have a pumper that's as quiet as a bolt gun.
