I highly recomend saving up for a few quality firearms rather than lots of cheap ones.

I would rather have a bunch of junky cheap milsurp rifles than one snobby high dollar black rifle

I like to do both. So long as they are safe, that is. Some of my favorite guns have turned out to be the cheapest ones, strangely. Pretty soon I'll have another pricey one, though, don't worry.

About five years ago I got ahold of a (GASP) bubba'd 1928 octagon barreled brute. Paid $50.00 from a guy that was going to Alaska the next day. Once I got the three layers if varnish off of the entire rifle and cleaned it it looked sort of ok for what it was. Shot it and was thrilled how good it was at 100 yds! Now that I have about 10 cases of ammo for it I think another in the original configuration is in my future. There are several at local shops in the $95 to $110 range that have matching numbers and do not appear to be beat up much. BTW all my numbers on that rifle match and its bubba'd front ramp with ivory bead cost more than twice what I paid for the rifle.

weeeelllll i went to the gun show today and could NOT find a correct bayonet for my m-44, however I DIIIIIIIIIIIIID find a pretty decent nagant revolver that should look rather nice along side of the mosins

also picked up some stripper clips (3 for $5) and a whole mess of WWII junk (mostly repops i suspect) like a metal (soup bowl) helmet, mittens with trigger fingers, canvas covered tin canteen, and a cloth hat all for 25 bucks

next up will be either the 1895 nagant revolver and/or a p64/cz82

Jump on the CZ-82's while they're still cheap. It won't be long before the demand vs availability becomes reversed and poof... gone are the days of sub $200 CZ-82s.
