The Two Seem Very Close In Looks ,which One Does The Combat Role Best? The Eagle Has The Decocker On The Slide, the Cz Doesn't Have A Decocker .they Are Both Good Size Semi-autos. Which Would You Choose?
If you get the chance, try handling both. CZ does have many good qualities. A local gun store has a Baby Eagle in stock. I like the way it "fits".
I have not fired either one.
Enjoy the decision process, and let us know what you decide.
I dont have a CZ
but I do have a
WITNESS 10MM and a BABY EAGLE 45ACP
just got the witness.
Its hard to pick but IM liking the WITNESS more and more each time I take it out.
I had two BE's. The fit and finish on them was better than that of the three CZ's I replaced them with. It all comes down to the slide mounted safety/decocker. With the slide in frame design I kept accidentally tripping it.
I prefer the CZ for two reasons:
Frame-mounted safety. The Baby Eagle's slide-mounted safety is more difficult for me to reach without losing a proper grip.
Better grip on the slide. This pistol design doesn't leave you much metal to grab to rack the slide, but the Baby Eagle's smooth, angled slide leaves even less.
Also consider that the CZ-85 is the ambidextrous model and has safety levers on both sides. Some users here have found that their holsters interfere with or even unintentionally disengage the pistol's safety.
