Summer camp for Scouts is back in session and we're back at the primitive range doing muzzleloading. We go to camp one day per session and do muzzleloading shooting all day with only a break for lunch. The kids have a ball and we try to make the targets interesting and unusual. So a couple pix from last week-

Jim teaching offhand musketry for accurate shooting. Note his left elbow is tucked into his chest.

And volley fire on the infamous "Col Mustard" and the drywall horde. For some reason, they love to see the drywall fly in a volley. Aiming point is the leader of the horde "Col Mustard" (a mustard packet) who is guilty of a litany of offenses such as soggy toast, stains on favorite shirts, cheating at solitaire, passing gas in church, tearing the tags off of mattresses, stealing treats from puppies, and many, many more heinous crimes.

Wonderful! Makes me wish our Boy Scout camp (circa 1960) offered BP shooting. And Col. Mustard's list of offenses is a hoot.

Thanks for what you offer those young people and for posting this.
