I was able to get back to the range this morning with my Armi Sport 2-band Enfield rifle. I shot 23 shots all at 25 yards and all off-hand.
Based on some suggestions from David Minshall, I shot all the shots using 68 grains of Goex FFG. I used a .575 minie ball greased in the grooves with Navy Arms shotgun sealer (the stuff does not melt like Bore Butter -- and it was close to 100 degrees out there today).
Results were much better than in the past (see pic below).
I only had to swab the bore once -- after 11 shots. I am happy with this load. Next time I will try it at 50 yards and 100 yards.
