Back to considering a cheap Heritage revolver.

Coal, I will attempt that, . . . but honestly don't see how that will solve this issue. However, I will do that the first thing when I get back to my apartment tonight.

Another thing I don't like about it, and [apparently] forgot that it works this way, . . . .is that I wish they would've made it to where, when you open the gate, the rod pushed through upon the click, not inbetween two chambers. That is an anoying trait. Beginning to wish I had just gone with the Heritage now. At least it works this way at the half cock.

A 10 shot cylinder doesn't lend itself to having the ejector rod line up automatically with anything. I suggest cleaning and lubing to make sure there is no debris from shipping in the action. The only reason it would not fully cock on one of 10 chambers is either due to burs or other manufacturing defect one that one cylinder bolt notch or ratchet. Alternately there is crud in either of those places interfering with proper function.

Coal, I will take it apart tonight and will report back what I discover, . . . including if I have to contact Ruger Customer Service for fixing.

I DO like the gun. I'm just a bit unnerved by an issue . . . pre-firing.

As for the ejection, I noticed that if I cock the hammer back just a little, it lines up. I may fashion a piece of wood to go between the hammer and breech for unloading. If I make it just right, I could market it for all those Single Ruger owners out there. ;)

Hold the cylinder in place with your left hand, eject with the right. This has always been an issue with New Models and is actually lessened considerably with the Single Ten.

Took it apart and didn't see any reason why it only fails on the same spot. Calling Ruger tomorrow.

Single Ten is on its way back to Ruger. Called today, they emailed me a shipping label, I put it in a box, and dropped it off at the UPS hub.
