I have a old 03A3 with aperture sights on it but my issue is I cant see past 75 yards with them. I have a stigmatism in my eyes and my right eye is blurry at all times wich means I cant see out of my sights. I have correctee lenses but they do not work at all. Any one have advice for me?:cuss:

I have a severe astigmatism in both eyes and it's getting worse every year. Get a new eye doctor astigmatism is correctable. Until you get to where the world isn't fuzzy you will not have any luck shooting open sights.

I shoot open sights extensively it can be done but you need a new optometrist it sounds like.

It sounds as though the axis is off in your contact. Torex contacts are very touchy that way and as your eye changes the axis will need to be changed too.

and my right eye is blurry at all times

I had been shooting right handed for 40 years; my right eye has always been hard to focus. About a year and a half ago I decided not to fight it anymore and started shooting my iron sighted rifles left handed.

Give it a try next time you go to the range you might be surprised.

I had my astigmatism corrected with Lasik and I can now use iron sights again! Its marvelous. I had gotten to the point were it was interfering with using red dots and scopes too, as I'd see two dot like blurs or two blurry reticles.

The thing with Lasik is get at least two opinions, and if one says you are not a good candidate, forget about it.
